Africa: Nyong and Ntem (Ref. 81638) in Cameroon. In the Congo basin known from the Dja (Ref. 7094, 51193) and Lobeke (Ref. 80507) in Cameroon. Report from the Luilaka River (Ruki drainage) in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 93897) is a misidentification of Nannocharax hastatus (Ref. 96084).
