oligotrophic
(english) Waters that are relatively low in nutrients and cannot support much plant life, such as the open oceans and some lakes. (See also: eutrophic)
oligotrophique
(french) Eaux relativement pauvres en sels nutritifs et qui ne peuvent pas soutenir une importante vie végétale, telles que les eaux des océans ouverts et celles de certains lacs. (See also: eutrophic)
