Marine; bathypelagic; depth range 300 - 2000 m (Ref. 4463), usually 500 - 800 m (Ref. 4463). Deep-water, preferred ?; 60°N - 17°S, 20°W - 14°E
Eastern Atlantic: scattered records from the northern record of 60°N, 20°W (Ref. 4769) to Angola (Ref. 4463).

A pseudoceanic, deep mesopelagic to bathypelagic species (Ref. 4769). Does not exhibit vertical migrations (Ref. 4463).
