Marine; bathydemersal; depth range 300 - 500 m (Ref. 7446). Deep-water, preferred ?; 34°N - 28°N, 34°E - 36°E
Western Indian Ocean: Gulf of Aqaba. Also found in the Mediterranean coast of Israel. Probably occurring in the Gulf of Suez but no specimens are available.

Swims close to the bottom in zigzag movements. Caught by traps and trammel nets (Ref. 7446).
