soft rays: 6. Body deep., maximum body depth 30.2-38.1% in SL. Dorsal profile only slightly more arched than the ventral one. Blunt snout, its length slightly greater than the eye diameter. Only the posterior barbels are present. The last unbranched ray of the dorsal fin is spinified on its inferior fourth or fifth of its length and very finely serrated on its posterior margin (Ref. 57642).
