Short description
Morphology | Morphometrics
Found only in areas with moderate water current. Occurs mostly in a riffle at a narrow stretch of rio Pratinha, the type locality of this species. Stays at midwater, swimming against the current, probably feeding on food items drifting downstream. One individual was observed picking with its mouth on a large boulder in a cave entrance (Ref. 76978).
