South Atlantic: known only from four stations in the tropical-subtropical waters, about 2.5°S-27°S, 26°W-03°E.

The 5 known adults were from hauls to depths exceeding 1,500 m. A single Gargaropteron-stage specimens, 4.56 cm SL, taken in a haul 0 to 304 m (Ref. 6944). Maximum depth from Ref. 58018.
