Definition of Term

acidity
(english) The degree of sourness of a usually water soluble substance. Acidity is measured in pH, with 7 being neutral and < 2 being a strong acid. (See also: pH, buffer, ecotoxicology)
acidité
(french) Qualité acide d'une substance habituellement soluble dans l’eau. L’acidité est mesurée par pH. Le pH 7 correspond au pH neutre. Les acides forts ont des pH inférieurs à 2. (See also: pH, buffer, ecotoxicology)
acidez
(portuguese) Grau de acidez duma substância solúvel em água. É medido em PH, sendo 7 o valor neutro e <2 um ácido forte. (See also: pH, buffer, ecotoxicology)
