Definition of Term

true hermaphroditism
(english) A form of hermaphroditism in which each individual is simultaneously male and female and can release either sperm or eggs while spawning, with the possibility of self-fertilization. Exists in certain serranid species and several other fish families. See also 'synchronous hermaphroditism'. (See also: hermaphroditic, synchronous hermaphroditism, simultaneous hermaphroditism)
hermafroditismo suficiente
(portuguese) forma de hermafroditismoem que cada indivíduo é simultâneamente macho e fêmea libertando gâmetas de ambos e podendo ainda auto fertilizar esses gâmetas.
