Definition of Term

forked
(english) Inwardly angular; used in describing the shape of a caudal fin which is divided into two equal lobes, the posterior border of each of which is relatively straight; a caudal fin having the shape of a two-lobed fork. (See also: caudal fin, fork length, tunas)
