 Family:  Torpedinidae (Electric rays)
 Max. size:  110 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 10 - 600 m
 Distribution:  Southwest Atlantic: Argentina and Brazil.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Ovoviviparous (Ref. 50449). Lives on the continental slope around 600 m in depth.
 IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
