 Family:  Torpedinidae (Electric rays)
 Max. size:  50 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 24 - 168 m
 Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: Peru and the Galapagos Islands (Ref. 12951); including Colombia (Ref. 58465).
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  A semi-pelagic ray found on sand and mud bottoms as well as in the water column over deep water. Ovoviviparous (Ref. 50449).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
