 Family:  Atherinidae (Silversides), subfamily: Atherinomorinae
 Max. size:  5.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  pelagic-neritic
 Distribution:  Africa: around Tamatave, eastern coast of Madagascar. One specimen from Antikotazo near Ambilobe on the north west coast of Madagascar has been collected among the type specimens of Teramulus waterloti.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Unlikely to be used for human consumption, possibly used as bait.
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
