 Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Sicydiinae
 Max. size:  14 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal, amphidromous
 Distribution:  Central America: Río Tamarindo, Nicaragua to the río Cardenas, central Panama on the Pacific drainage.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Adults inhabit fresh water (Ref. 9304). Recorded from rivers and creeks, between sea level and an elevation of 660 m. Found in most rapid currents over rocky bottoms. Feed on detritus, mud, diatoms and filamentous algae (Ref. 36880).
