 Max. size:  35.8 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal
 Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: endemic to the Gulf of California.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Benthic on the inner part of the continental shelf (Ref. 9261). Oviparous (Ref. 50449). Eggs have horn-like projections on the shell (Ref. 205).
 IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
