Description: Characterized by yellowish head; body with a pair of wide, bluish grey to brown stripes with broad central white stripe extending to end of tail; anterior lateral line scales 27-35; predorsal scales 18-24; depth of body 23.4-27.8 % of SL (Ref. 90102). |
| Found in rich coral reefs (Ref. 8631) and coastal reef slopes (Ref. 37816). A possible mimic of Pholidichthys leucotaenia (Ref. 9710). Also found in crevices and caves on steep slopes (Ref 90102). |
