 Family:  Pomacentridae (Damselfishes), subfamily: Pomacentrinae
 Max. size:  20 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 3 - 35 m, non-migratory
 Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: southern Australia, from Dongara, Western Australia to Victoria, including Tasmania.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 13-13; Dorsal soft rays (total): 16-17; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 15-16
 Biology:  Adults occur inshore in rocky reefs (Ref. 75154). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205).
