 Environment:  bathydemersal; depth range 260 - 405 m
 Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: off Cape Tala and from the northwestern coast of Madagascar.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 207-207; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 158-158; Vertebrae: 156-160. Edges and bases of unpaired fins dark, pectorals light. Branchial chamber light. Eye round, pupil narrow and vertical. Dorsal fin origin slightly anterior to the insertions of the pectorals.
