 Max. size:  24.4 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  bathypelagic; depth range 666 - 718 m
 Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: off Peru.
 Diagnosis:  These distinct features distinguish this species from congeners in the area: unique lateral line configuration, low vertebral count, dorsal fin origin, five postorbital pores, and absence of nape scales.
 Biology:  Found in deep waters off Peru (Ref. 78516).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
