 Family:  Oxynotidae (Rough sharks)
 Max. size:  120 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  bathydemersal; depth range 265 - 720 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: Atlantic slope from Scotland to Senegal.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Found on the continental slope. Probably feeds on small bottom invertebrates and fishes. Ovoviviparous.
 IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
