 Family:  Ogcocephalidae (Batfishes)
 Max. size:  13.85 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 88 - 146 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Cocos Island and Peru.
 Diagnosis:  Squamation rough with prominent spiny bucklers. Relatively long disk margin compared to darwini and lower modal number of pectoral rays (14). Each side of the body with a longitudinal stripe (Ref. 40824).
 Biology:
