 Distribution:  Asia: Laos and Viet Nam.
 Diagnosis:  Body with about 8 dark brown stripes; first dorsal fin with 7 rays; pelvic fins separated (Ref. 43281).
 Biology:  Found in slow flowing streams and swamps (Ref. 43281).
 IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
