 Max. size:  33.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 30 - 80 m
 Distribution:  Western Pacific: Taiwan to Thailand and the Philippines. Validity of this species questioned in Compagno's 1999 checklist (Ref. 35766).
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Occurs in inshore continental waters (Ref. 9912). Biology little known (Ref. 9912). Used in Chinese medicine (Ref. 12166).
 IUCN Red List Status: Data deficient  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
