 Family:  Bothidae (Lefteye flounders)
 Max. size:  18 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  bathydemersal; depth range 205 - 384 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Costa Rica to Peru. Also reported in Nicaragua (Ref. 13613).
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Found on muddy, sandy, or rubble bottoms (Ref. 9281). Marketed fresh and also utilized as fishmeal (Ref. 9281).
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
