 Max. size:  5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; pH range: 6 - 8; dH range: 5 - 19
 Distribution:  South America: vicinity of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Mainly nocturnal. Feeds on algae (Ref. 6868). Aquarium keeping: feeds on plants and roots; in groups of 5 or more individuals; minimum aquarium size 60 cm (Ref. 51539).
