 Family:  Hexagrammidae (Greenlings), subfamily: Hexagramminae
 Max. size:  30 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal, oceanodromous
 Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Japan, the Korean Peninsula and the Yellow Sea (Ref. 559); including off coast of Primorye (Russia) (Ref. 114081).
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Inhabits seaweed beds of coastal waters. Juveniles occasionally seen among floating seaweed. A food fish; taken by angling (Ref. 559, 637).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
