 Environment:  benthopelagic; pH range: 7 - 8; dH range: 9 - 20
 Distribution:  North America: Atlantic slope, Panuco River drainage, and Soto La Marina River in Mexico.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Occurs in both fast flowing rivers and still waters (Stawikowski & Werner, 1998).
