 Family:  Rajidae (Skates)
 Max. size:  52 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  bathydemersal
 Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: known only from the Galapagos Islands and off central Chile.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Rare, restricted to deep waters (Ref. 28023). Oviparous (Ref. 50449). Eggs have horn-like projections on the shell (Ref. 205).
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
