Dorsal spines (total): 20-21; Dorsal soft rays (total): 38-41; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 36-40. Description: Characterized by generally pale grey to yellow-white body color; presence of narrow orange-brown to blackish stripe from snout to tail base; partly scaled head; origin of dorsal fin slightly posterior to level of pectoral fin base; rounded caudal fin; depth of body 11.5-16 in SL (Ref. 90102). |
Inhabits shallow, flat and sandy areas (Ref. 1602). Solitary or in pairs (Ref. 90102). Found near seagrass or mangrove habitats (Ref. 48637). Often less than 3 m, sometimes over 8 m depth (Ref. 1602). |
