 Max. size:  100 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal
 Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: Peru to northern Chile.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Common species found in rocky shelf and upper slope waters (Ref. 34024). Oviparous, with oval pelagic eggs floating in a gelatinous mass (Ref. 205).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
