 Family:  Gobiidae (Gobies), subfamily: Gobiinae
 Max. size:  1.19 cm SL (female)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 2 - 10 m
 Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Saudi Arabia.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 8-8. This species is distinguished by the following characters: cephalic sensory-pore system categorized as pattern IV or having no PITO and IT pores, and AITO is enlarged; 8/8 dorsal/anal fin-ray formula; all pectoral-fin rays unbranched; fourth pelvic-fin ray with 9 branches; caudal-fin base without black spot, body without linear dark stripes or bright yellow midlateral stripe, and eye color white with radiating reddish bars emanating from pupil (Ref. 94740).
 Biology:  Collected on sandy slopes, coral patches, and lagoons (Ref. 94740).
