 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range 20 - 146 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Hawaiian Islands, including the Midway Islands.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Inhabits sand, rubble (Ref. 9710, 58302) and rocky areas (Ref. 58302). Benthopelagic (Ref. 58302).
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
