 Distribution:  Africa: endemic to Lake Ejagham, Cross River basin, Cameroon (Ref. 85854).
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Deepwater specimens feed on planktonic organisms in open water column; inshore specimens, in addition, pick on small particles from substrate and feed on matter from water surface; breeds in all depth zones; in shallow inshore area above 1 m spawning occurs in crevices, on soil, or in elevated logholes of fallen trees; substratum spawner (Ref. 85854).
