 Family:  Tetrarogidae (Wasp fishes)
 Max. size:  4 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 9 - 108 m
 Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic: Cape to Algoa Bay, South Africa. Reported as likely at Seychelles (Ref. 1623) but Randall and van Egmond 1994 (Ref. 10685) believe otherwise.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 14-16; Dorsal soft rays (total): 5-6; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 3-6. Brownish red in color, with a white blotch covering the belly and rear of body (Ref. 5499).
 Biology:  Common in rotenone collections.
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
