 Max. size:  10 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal
 Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic: Boknes to the Bashee River in South Africa.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 34-37; Dorsal soft rays (total): 5-7; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 22-25. Buff-grey with 7 dark crossbars, dark spots and white speckles on body and head (Ref. 5496).
 Biology:  Found in tide pools.
 IUCN Red List Status:   (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
