 Family:  Stichaeidae (Pricklebacks), subfamily: Chirolophinae
 Max. size:  30 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  bathydemersal; depth range 75 - 380 m
 Distribution:  Northeast Pacific: Aleutian Islands, Alaska to southern British Columbia, Canada.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 67-71; Dorsal soft rays (total): 0-0; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 53-55; Vertebrae: 71-73. Caudal truncate to slightly rounded (Ref. 6885).
 Biology:  Found in soft bottoms on outer continental shelf and upper slope (Ref. 51666).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
