 Family:  Bregmacerotidae (Codlets)
 Max. size:  5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  pelagic-neritic
 Distribution:  Indian Oean: known from the type locality of Arabia Sea and northern Indian Ocean. The validity is left for further study (Torii, 2003, unpublished thesis).
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 51-61; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 49-58. First ray of the first dorsal fin and pelvic fin rays extremely elongated. Scales more than 75 in longitudinal series. Pectoral fin rays fewer than 18. Attains 5 cm SL.
 Biology:  Neritic (Ref. 46075).
