 Environment:  bathydemersal; depth range 300 - 686 m
 Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Hawaii and possibly further south and east.
 Diagnosis:  Vertebrae: 174-180. Myomeres in larvae 172-183. Predorsal vertebrae 9-10. Dorsal rays before anus 66-74.
 Biology:  Benthic (Ref. 58302).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
