 Family:  Muraenidae (Moray eels), subfamily: Uropterygiinae
 Max. size:  17 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  reef-associated; depth range - 0 m
 Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: Chagos Islands to the Hawaiian and Society islands, south to the southern Great Barrier Reef.
 Diagnosis:  Uniformly light brown.
 Biology:  Inhabits the interstices of the reef. Uniformly light brown (Ref. 1602). Benthic (Ref. 58302).
 IUCN Red List Status: Not Evaluated  (Ref. 96402)
 Threat to humans:  harmless
