 Family:  Agonidae (Poachers), subfamily: Agoninae
 Max. size:  12.5 cm SL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  demersal; depth range 3 - 400 m
 Distribution:  Southeast Pacific: Chile. Southwest Atlantic: Patagonia, Argentina.
 Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-8; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-7; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 7-8. Posterior margin of caudal fin somewhat round (Ref. 27363). Body dark brown dorsally and paler ventrally, five distinct cross-bars on back, with less distinct dark markings on sides and nape (Ref. 27363).
