 Max. size:  61 cm TL (male/unsexed)
 Environment:  benthopelagic
 Distribution:  Africa: endemic to Lake Tanganyika.
 Diagnosis:   
 Biology:  Inhabits inshore rocky areas of the lake, and the rapid parts of rivers (Ref. 4967). Feeds on aufwuchs (Ref. 28666).
