Remarks Fish of 20 cm SL & larger live more often in pairs. Pairing observed in fish as small as 15 cm SL; but may school with about 50 individuals; smaller schools (< 5) of very small juveniles have been seen. Common along face of drop-offs at the reef edges. Typically, it grows to a larger size than other siganids.
