Preserved color gray dorsally, butter yellow ventrally; black spot on top of head, between eye and angle of mouth, and on opercle; fine black dots on head; scales on dorsal half margined with black. Large head broader than trunk; oblique mouth very large. No scales on head, predorsal region, pectoral base, breast and median part of belly. 26 scales in longitudinal series.
