Comments: Known from Solsona, Batac, Laoag, Bacarra and Dingras (Ref. 2853). Museum: Solsona, Ilocos Norte, Luzon, creek and rice fields, Fish and Game Administration collection No. 41062 (holotype, 3 cm; 29 cotypes, 2.4-3 cm). Some specimens were sent to Stanford University, California. Also Ref. 12591, 12738. Endemic status computed from FishBase data (country records, occurrences records in literature and in point data) on 16/07/08.

Short description

Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 5-7; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 15 - 18. Color in life gray, yellow sheen above and a silvery luster along the sides; dusky stripe from upper angle of opercle to caudal base. Body laterally compressed.
