Distribution: Africa: Wembere, Bubu, Malagarasi, Lake Rukwa and Lake Victoria drainages in Tanzania (Ref. 59344). Introduced for mosquito control in several localities in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and probably Zambia (Ref. 3788, 59344, 106076).
