Remarks | 'Small', i.e., of little size (p. 1112 in Ref. 11978). Probably referring to young eulachon which are seen in saltwater in spring and winter with a size range of (4-5 cm). The young are carried by currents and become widely distributed in areas like the Strait of Georgia. They move to deeper water as they grow. |
